LGI Inspection:
The inspection of load lifting material, also known as LGI (Lifting Gear Inspection), is the periodic evaluation of equipment such as straps, chains, shackles and hooks to ensure their safety and integrity. This process includes visual inspections and, if necessary, non-destructive tests and load tests to identify wear, deformations or failures that could compromise load lifting operations. The objective is to prevent accidents and ensure that equipment complies with current technical standards, such as NR-11, LEEA and LOLER
Types of inspection:
- Visual inspection
- Dimensional inspection
- Non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Load testing
- Wear and deformation
- Mechanical damage
- Structural integrity
